Unpacking & Setup of the WheelChair Mover
1) The WheelChair Mover is shipped on a wooden pallet. Examine the machine for
any signs of damage caused by shipping. If the machine is damaged, report your
finding to the shipping company before proceeding.
2) Remove the straps that hold the machine onto the pallet base.
3) Using a claw hammer, pry loose the wooden restraint blocks nailed to the pallet.
These blocks are located on all four sides of the machine. Immediately dispose of
these blocks.
4) Make a ramp with a piece of plywood so the machine can be pulled backward off the
pallet. Note: The WheelChair Mover has minimal clearance from the bottom of the
machine to the floor. When removing the WheelChair Mover from the pallet, avoid
dragging it over the edge so as not to scrape and damage the base of the machine.
5) The machine may be driven off the pallet or moved manually. If moving the machine
without power, make sure the gearbox release lever, located on front right side of
the machine, is in the "forward" position. This will allow the machine to be moved
manually without motor power. Return the gearbox release lever to the “rear” after
moving the machine.
6) Once the machine is on the floor, remove the pallet to a safe place for storage or
disposal.
7) Verify that the anti-static wire is still attached to the bottom of the WheelChair Mover
and will be in contact with the floor during operation. See diagram WheelChair
Mover
