Localization of the HDD
In the event of a hard disk drive defect, you can find the hard disk drive that must be replaced
using the recorder’s GUI.

The defective hard disk drive will be marked in red. If a DAS-4 Eco is connected to the
recorder, these additional hard disk drives will also be displayed.

Replace the HDD
IMPORTANT
Risk of data loss and/or damage to the hard disk drive.
Ensure that both the recorder and the DAS-4 Eco have been
switched off before you replace the HDD drawer unit.
IMPORTANT
Damage to components at risk from electrostatic discharge
caused by touching them.
Ensure that you are electrostatically discharged (earthed) before
you touch the HDD drawer unit.
Wear suitable ESD shoes or an earth strap.
Ø
Power down the recorder.
Ø
Ensure that none of the LEDs on the recorder or on the DAS-4 Eco are lit.
Ø
Switch off the recorder.
Ø
Pull the recorder’s mains plug.
Ø
Release the HDD drawer unit using the wrench supplied.
