7.4 Up occlusion alarm

Description
Cause

When the clamp on the upper part of the pump is closed, this alarm occurs
due to the pressure below the negative set pressure.
 When the line of the I.V Set is twisted, the set is mounted incorrectly, or
the needle blockage occurs, injection stops and the UP occlusion alarm
occurs.
Indicators
 Alarm sounds
 Alarm screen appears in red on the
LCD display.
 LCD state display: “Up Occlusion”
Alarm clearing
method
 Press any buttons to release the occlusion alarm and switch to standby
mode.
Action  Check for occlusion in the I.V Set and release the pressure.
Caution
 If an occlusion alarm occurs due to locking of the manual roller clamp, do not
open the roller clamp right away. This may cause Bolus effect to the patient.
 Actions against bursting Bolus
1.
Check whether the manual roller clamp is closed.
2.
To resolve the problem, remove the tube from the pump and release its
pressure.
3.
Check for pressure release in the tube.
7.5 Air bubble alarm

Cause
 When the air sensor detects air in the tube during injection, it stops
injection and generates an air bubble alarm.


Alarm sounds
 Alarm screen appears in red on the
LCD display.
 LCD state indicator: “Air”
