9. Open the roller clamp of the I.V Set.
10. Remove air in the tube and check for
leakage, and then insert the needle into
the patient’s vein.
11. Configure settings for KEYPAD by using
JOG dial, and then press the START
button.
 Then infusion starts. At this time, the values for
Infused Volume, Remain Time, Occlusion, and etc.
appear on the LCD in real time.
Caution

Make sure that the I.V set is available. If inappropriate I.V set is used, an
occlusion or air alarm occurs or the specified flow rate may not be reached.
 Mount the I.V Set without bending or twisting. Incorrect installation may keep
it from reaching the set rate.
 Use the clamp to lock the I.V Set before opening the door or removing the I.V
set. Failure to close completely may cause water leakage.
 Replace the drug container or I.V Set according to the maintenance procedure.
 Install the drug container more than 50 cm higher than the patient's heart.
 Do not use an I.V Set in the same location for more than 12 hours. Prolonged
use at the same location may cause deformation of the tube and injection
failure. It is recommended to move 15 cm every 12 hours or replace the I.V set
with a new one.
 If the slide clip is not inserted properly, infusion does not start. Use of the slide
clip is optional. Usage varies depending on the type of I.V Set.
