WARNING
Before cleaning and maintenance work, be sure to unplug
the unit. (An electric shock or injury may result)
When Not Using the Unit for a Prolonged Period
1.
Unplug the power supply.
2.
Discard any residual water in the water tank and humidifying tray and then clean the parts.

3.
Leave internal parts in a shaded area to dry off.
• In particular, parts cleaned with water should be completely dry. (Mould may result from remaining moisture)
4.
Cover the air outlet and other openings with a plastic bag or similar to prevent dust entry, and store
the unit upright in a dry place.
(Malfunction/breakage may result from storing the unit upside down or horizontally)
When not using the Humidifying Operation
(during the off-season, etc.)

Replace about every 10 years
About part replacement timing
• Replacement timing depends on usage patterns and the
location of the unit.
Standard replacement time is about 10 years assuming
that the unit is used daily in a home where 5 cigarettes
are smoked a day. (Calculation in accordance with
testing method of Japan Electrical Manufacturers’
Association JEM1467 standard)
If the impurity content of the ambient air is high, the filter
will need more frequent replacement.
Replace the dust collection filter if the filter is failing to
perform.

Remove the power supply plug.
2.
Remove the front panel and pre-filter.

Remove the dust collection filter.
• Put your finger into the notch at the bottom of the
unit, then lift and remove the dust collection filter.

Install a new dust collection filter.
• Please check that the deodorising filter is attached.
• Attach the dust collection filter by first inserting the
bottom part fully behind the protrusions.

5.
Attach the pre-filter and front panel.
