11. FIELD SETTING AND TEST RUN

(The field setting of the following items shall be 

completed with the operation of the remote control 

in accordance with the on site installation conditions. 

(In case that the remote control is Type BRC1E62, 

please refer to the installation manual for the remote 

control.))

(1) Please confirm whether the electrical box cover 

     of the indoor unit and the outdoor unit have been 

     firmly covered.

     The field setting is carried out with the remote control, 

     and whether it is required to carry out setting 

     depends on the on site installation situations.

(2) According to the installation situations, when the 

     power supply is switched on, use the remote control 

     to carry out the field setting, and please follow 

     Section “FIELD SETTING” in the operation manual 

     for the remote control to carry out setting.

· 

When setting, the “MODE No.”, “FIRST CODE No.” 

   and “SECOND CODE No.” can be changed.

· 

In Section “FIELD SETTING”, the setting sequences 

   and the operating methods which can be carried out 

   with the remote control are listed. 

· 

Finally, ask the user to keep the “FIELD SETTING” 

   operation manual and the installation manual well.

11-1 Conversion of the static pressure outside the unit

· 

The Second Code No. can be converted in accordance 

   with the resistance force of the pipe.

   (The second code number is set “01” when delivered 

   from the factory.)

· 

For details, please refer to the technical documents.

11-2 Setting the remote operated control

· 

To carry out the input switching of forced off or on/off, 

   the settings can be the ones as shown in the following 

   table, and the settings can be carried out by changing 

   the second code number.

   (The second code number is set to “01” when delivered 

   from the factory.)

   signal A are shown in the following table.

11-3 Setting the time to display the clean air filter 

        element signal

· 

To change the “Setting for contamination level of the 

   air filter element”, tell the following contents to the user. 

· 

The factory setting to display the clean air filter element  

   signal is 2500 hours (about 1 year).

· 

It can be set not to display the signal.

· 

When installed in a dusty place, the setting time to 

   display the clean air filter element signal should be set 

   to the low position.

· 

Please tell the user : 

  

 To prevent the air filter element 

   meshes from being blocked, the air filter element must 

   be regularly cleaned ; 

  

 The cleaning intervals set.

11-4 Setting when any optional part is installed

· 

Please refer to the installation manual supplied with 

   the optional part, so as to carry out the necessary 

   setting.

(Cases in which the wireless remote control is used)

· 

When the remote control used is a wireless remote 

   control, the address shall be set for the wireless remote 

   control. For detailed steps for setting, please refer to 

   the installation instruction manual for the wireless 

   remote control.

· 

When any abnormality happens, the run indicator 

   on the remote control will flash. Confirm the error 

   code on the LCD display and locate the error. 

   In the “Key points for repair” for the indoor unit, 

   there are error code explanations and error 

   descriptions. 

   In case that the following signals are displayed on 

   the display, there may be wiring errors or discontinuity 

   of the power supply. Please check again.
