4.11 DC Fan Lock

Detection

An error is determined with the high-voltage fan motor rotation speed detected by the Hall IC.

Malfunction
Decision
Conditions

The fan does not start in 15 ~ 60 seconds (depending on the model) even when the fan
motor is running.

If the error repeats 16 times, the system is shut down.

Reset condition: Continuous run for about 11 minutes (50 class: 5 minutes) without any
other error

Disconnection of the fan motor

Foreign matters stuck in the fan

Defective fan motor

Defective outdoor unit PCB

Troubleshooting

Check the rotation pulse input on
the outdoor unit PCB.

Turn off the power and
reconnect the connector.

Remove them.

Replace the outdoor fan
motor.
