the user inputs will be displayed as “*”, and the user will have to double input (confirm) the
SNMP community string when creating an SNMP community.
Parameters
<view_name 32>
- Enter the MIB view name used here. This name can be up to 32
characters long.
read_only
- Specifies that the user, using the community string, will have read only access to
the switch’s SNMP agent.
read_write
- Specifies that the user, using the community string, will have read/write access
to the switch’s SNMP agent.
Restrictions
Only Administrator and Operator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To create an SNMP community string called “communityView” with the “read_only” security method:
DGS-3450:admin#create snmp community_masking view CommunityView read_only
Command: create snmp community_masking view CommunityView read_only
Enter a case-sensitive community:********
Enter the community again for confirmation:********
Success.

Purpose
Used to enable the encryption state on SNMP community string.
Syntax
enable community_encryption
Description
This command is used to enable the encryption state on SNMP community string.
