To generate a default route into Routing Information Protocol (RIP), use the

default-information originate

command. To disable this feature, use the no

form of this command.

default-information originate

no default-information originate

Syntax

None

Usage Guideline

Issuing this command generates a default route into RIP. The metric will always
be one.

Example

The following example shows how to generate a default route into RIP:

Verify the settings by entering the

show running-config

command.
