ASSEMBLY
4.12.1 inSTallinG The ReaR idleR GeaR
Assemble one rear idler gear assembly each to the RH &

LH end clamps, and to all idler mount clamps (back side of
manifold only) using one 3/8” x 2” bolt, three 3/8” flat washers
and one 3/8” center locknut per each idler gear assembly
(Figure 21).
Tighten the 3/8” center locknuts to 30 ft-lbs. 2.

Sort bolts according to their size and length. 1.
Rotate the manifold on the stands so that the drive shaft is 2.
at the 12:00 position.
Assemble the RH & LH eccentric mount plates (with the nylon

rollers facing to the center of the manifold) to the RH & LH
end clamps using three 3/8” X 1” carriage bolts, six 3/8” SAE
flat washers and three 3/8” center locknuts per plate. Do not
tighten yet (Figure 19).
Align the 5th tooth on the RH & LH eccentric mounting

plate assemblies with the indicator mark on the RH & LH
end clamps.
Tighten the 3/8” center locknuts to 30 ft-lbs. 5.
The back side of the manifold is opposite that of the large
Air Reel decal.

The default pitch angle is with the 5th tooth on the eccentric
mounting plate assembly aligned with the indicator mark
on the RH & LH end clamps. See Section 5.2 for additional
information.

Do not tighten the nuts for the nylon rollers yet (Figure 20).
