Quad-HD Recording
Apollo Quad-HD mode enables monitoring and recording of up to four HD video inputs simultaneously. A fifth
HD recording of a Quad-Split view of the four inputs or a Live-Switch between them is also available. Resolutions
and frame rates must match when recording. Supported frame rates are:
1080p at 23.98p, 24p, 25p, 29.97p, 30p, 50p*, 59.94p*, and 60p*
1080i at 50i and 59.94i
720p at 50p, 59.94p, 60p
• At 1080p above 30p, the fifth video track recording of a Quad-Split or Live-Switch is not available.
• 1080p sources can be a mix of Progressive (p) and Progressive Segmented Frames (psf).
• 3:2 Pulldown Removal is supported in Apollo. 3:2 Pulldown signals (1080p23.98 within 1080i59.94
or 1080p24 within 1080i60 streams) can be mixed with true 23.98/24p signals, with all recorded as
23.98p/24p. Note that 3:2 Pulldown Removal and A/V Align cannot be used at the same time.
All video and audio streams are recorded into a single multitrack QuickTime (.mov) file containing Apple ProRes
(HQ, 422, or LT), in 1920x1080 or 1280x720 resolution. The CD Apple ProRes Transfer Tool is required for
offloading Apollo files. Only one SSD is required for recording. Video sources can be a mix of HDMI and SDI and
do not need to be genlocked.
