Unpacking
WARNING: THIS SCANNER IS VERY HEAVY
Assistance and safety
Ensure you have adequate room available and suitable assistance on hand to help you unpack and position the scanner safely.
BE CAREFUL. DO NOT TRAP YOUR FINGERS WHEN PLACING THE SCANNER ON THE FLOOR STAND!
Lifting the scanner
The scanner is very heavy and weighs 76 kg or 168 lbs. Never attempt to lift the scanner by yourself and always obtain the help of a second person to help
you lift the scanner from its packaging or if you want to move the unit when it is not on its stand. It is recommended a third person helps during assembly by
removing the packaging and guiding the scanner onto the stand.
Make sure that you or your helpers do not trip over any packing material while carrying the scanner.
Cables
Never wheel the scanner over the cables, particularly the USB3 cable as this can be easily damaged and cause possible data speed problems.
AVOID BACK STRAIN. ENSURE YOU AND YOUR ASSISTANTS ARE CAPABLE OF LIFITNG THE SCANNER WITHOUT RISK OF INJURY.
Stand assembly
Always tighten the scanner stand fixings properly using the tools provided when the stand is first assembled. Recheck all bolts for tightness every 6 months
or more regularly if the scanner is moved about or seems less rigid than it was when first assembled.
