Monitoring with WIDEsystem
WIDEsystem software monitors the scanner and reports on its functionality.
Double left click the WIDEsystem icon
in the system tray to open the
WIDEsystem control interface.

A greyed WIDEsystem icon indicates the scanner is off or in sleep mode. A
yellow icon shows it is connected. Mouse-over the icon for a quick
statement of the current scanner status.
Double-click the WIDEsystem icon to view more detailed scanner
information. For example:
Activate and upgrade your scanner.
Open the License tab. You will
need to have a valid license for the activation/upgrade
View Error messages and logs.
Runtime errors are reported
immediately on your screen. Open the Status and Info tab to view error
messages and logs
View information about scanner device
firmware and hardware
revisions by opening the Info tab.
Install new firmware
– Download new firmware to a folder on your
machine then right click on the scanner icon, select
Advanced Options
> Update Scanner Firmware
to install it on your scanner.
Initiate a system hardware scan
to refresh the interface. Right click
the scanner icon, select
Advanced Options > Rescan Hardware Bus
.
Set up your scanner so it can be shared by other PCs on the
network

Scan to Net
tab to make settings. See also
