Ethernet Connection with Mitsubishi
PLC
The following is a setting example for Ethernet communication with the Mitsubishi PLC Q series.
See below for the configuration example regarding communication conditions.
1.
PLC Settings
For Ethernet communication, IP address and communication (connection) port for the PLC LAN port
needs to be set.
The following is a setting example with Mitsubishi PLC maintenance tool, "GX Works2".
Built-in Ethernet Port Setting
1.
On the "GX Works2", go to "Parameter" - "PC parameter", then open the "Parameter Setting"
screen.

Select the "

" tab in " Parameter Setting ". The following screen appears.
Configure the settings as follows;

Communication Data Code : Binary
Set IP address for PLC.
Default rooter IP address also needs to be set.
*When using the product on the local network, the setting is not necessary.
However, IP should be set as "10.1.1.1" for instance to avoid interference.
Set Communication Data Code.
*Select one according to communication method. If there is already a
communication device in the product, changing Communication Data Code
makes communication unsuccessful. If that is the case, adjust the settings on
the M2M Gateway side to meet the existing setting.
This should be checked off for writing permission.
