Use
this
screen
to
view
the
installed
availability
of
each
available
data
interface
type
and
its
currently
configured
state.
The
read
‐
only
top
line
specifies
each
interface;
directly
below
each
heading,
the
bottom
line
displays
the
current
configured
installed
and
configured
state
for
that
interface.
On
the
bottom
line,
use
the
W
X
arrow
keys
to
select
a
configurable
interface,
and
then
press
ENTER
.
Then,
use
the
ST
arrow
keys
to
change
the
setting
for
that
interface.
Press
ENTER
when
done.
Note
the
following
display
states
for
this
submenu:

Description
Gigabit Ethernet:
GBE1 (J5 | DATA port)
and
GBE2 (J6 | DATA port)
Off
The GbE interface is Off. The PHY is down. The interface is in Tri-
state mode and all LED indicators are non-functioning.
Auto
The GbE interface is On. The PHY is up. Both the port speed and
Full/Half Duplex communications are auto-negotiated.
10/H
The GbE interface is On. The PHY is up. The port speed is 10
Base-T with Half Duplex communications.
10/F
The GbE interface is On. The PHY is up. The port speed is 10
Base-T with Full Duplex communications.
100/H
The GbE interface is On. The PHY is up. The port speed is 100
Base-T with Half Duplex communications.
100/F
The GbE interface is On. The PHY is up. The port speed is 100
Base-T with Full Duplex communications.
1000/F
The GbE interface is On. The PHY is up. The port speed is 1000
Base-T with Full Duplex communications.
Optional Plug-In Interface
Card Slots:
PIIC1 (Interface Slot1)
and
PIIC2 (Interface Slot 2)
NONE
No PIIC module is physically installed in the slot.
XXXX-Off
Example: OC3-Off
means that an OC-3 PIIC module is installed in
the slot but it is not being used.
XXXX-YY
Example: G703-E3
means that a G.703 E3/T3/STS-1 PIIC module
is installed and is active with a selected data type of E3 (valid
selections are E3, T3, and S1 (STS-1)).
Optional Optical Ethernet:
J7 | OPTICAL port

The interface is either disabled or there is no SFP module present.
Off
The interface is enabled, and the SFP is present but it is not in
use.
On
The interface is enabled and the SFP is present. All
communications via this port is 1000 Base-T (GbE), auto-
negotiating
only
.
User
selections
on
this
screen
are
dependent
on
whether
the
modem
is
in
Single
Stream
Mode
or
MultiStream
Mode.
