On the user PC – Use the terminal emulator program to log in to the CDM ‐ 750, and then
use Serial or Telnet Remote Control to obtain, and make note of, the firmware
information:
o
Detailed: Type (without the quotes) “ <0/FRW?x<cr> ” ( where: x = B (Boot), 1
(Image 1) or 2 (Image 2)) at the command prompt to query the CDM ‐ 750 for its
Firmware Number and Release Version.
o
Abbreviated: Type (without the quotes) “ <0/SWR?<cr> ”.

On the user PC – Use the CDM ‐ 750 Web Server Interface ‘ Status | Firmware ’ page:
o
First, use an Ethernet hub, switch, or
direct cable connection to connect the
CDM ‐ 750 rear panel ‘ J4 | MGMT’
10/100 Fast Ethernet port to an
Ethernet port on the user PC.
o
Then, use a Web browser (e.g., Internet Explorer)
to log in to the CDM ‐ 750 Web Server Interface
and review the ‘ Status | Firmware ’ page. There,
make note of the firmware loads.

2. Next, create a temporary folder (subdirectory) on the user PC for the firmware archive
download.

While these examples use drive letter “c:” any valid writable drive letter can
be used.
•
Typical for all tasks: Type the command, without quotes , and then press
Enter to execute.
There are several ways to create a temporary folder on a Windows ‐ based PC:
A. Use the Windows Desktop to create and rename the temporary folder.
