5.11 Image Rendering Module
The entry PowerStorm 1000 graphics subsystem deskside chassis contains two Image
Rendering Modules; one in slot 3 and one in slot 4. The full and high resolution
PowerStorm 1000 graphics subsystem deskside chassis contains four Image Rendering
Modules; one in slot 3, one in slot 4, one in slot 5, and one in slot 6.
Perform the following procedure to remove an Image Rendering Module from the
PowerStorm 1000 graphics subsystem deskside chassis:
1. Perform a normal system power down (see Section 5.2).
2. Remove the left side panel (see Section 5.4).
3. Remove the module hold-down bracket (see Section 5.5).
4. Put on an antistatic wriststrap.

An antistatic wriststrap must be worn when handling any board or module to
prevent damage to the board or module.

5. Pull out on the levers
at each end of the Image Rendering Module being removed
(see Figure 5-9).
6. Slide the Image Rendering Module out of the card cage.
To replace the Image Rendering Module, reverse steps 1 through 6 of the removal
procedure.
