An antistatic wriststrap must be worn when handling any board or module to
prevent damage to the board or module.

5. Remove all of the Image Rendering Modules from the graphics subsystem deskside
chassis (see Section 5.11). The entry PowerStorm 1000 graphics subsystem contains
two Image Rendering Modules and the full and high resolution PowerStorm 1000
graphics subsystems contains four Image Rendering Modules.
6. Remove the existing 16 MB Texture Memory Modules
from sockets 1 and 3 ({ and
}) and reinstall them in sockets 4 and 3 (~ and }) on each Image Rendering Module
(see Figure 2-1
).
7. Remove the new 16 MB Texture Memory Modules from their antistatic protective
bag.
8. Align a 16 MB Texture Memory Module
with texture memory socket 2 | on the
Image Rendering Module (see Figure 2-1).
9. Push firmly on the Texture Memory Module until it is seated in the socket.
10. Repeat steps 8 and 9 to install a 16 MB Texture Memory Module in texture memory
socket 1
{ on the same Image Rendering Module.
11. Repeat steps 8 through 10 for each Image Rendering Module in the graphics
subsystem.
12. Reinstall all of the Image Rendering Modules into the graphics subsystem deskside
chassis (see Section 5.11).
13. Reinstall the module hold-down bracket (see Section 5.5).
14. Reinstall the left side panel (see Section 5.4).
