5. Remove the 1st Image Rendering Module from the antistatic protective bag.
6. Align the 1st Image Rendering Module with slot 5 and slide it into the deskside
chassis.
7. Push firmly on the Image Rendering Module until it is seated in the connector and the
locking levers are locked.
8. Remove the 2nd Image Rendering Module from the antistatic protective bag.
9. Align the 2nd Image Rendering Module with slot 6 and slide it into the chassis.
10. Push firmly on the Image Rendering Module until it is seated in the connector and the
locking levers are locked.
11. Reinstall the module hold-down bracket (see Section 5.5).
12. Reinstall the left side panel (see Section 5.4).
2.6.3 Installing Optional Video Memory Module
In the PowerStorm 1000 graphics subsystems, a Video Memory Module is required for
each pair of Image Rendering Modules. If two optional Image Rendering Modules are
installed in the subsystem, an optional Video Memory Module must also be installed.
Perform the following procedure to install the optional Video Memory Module:
1. Perform a normal system power down (see Section 5.2).
2. Remove the left side panel (see Section 5.4).
3. Remove the module hold-down bracket (see Section 5.5).
4. Put on an antistatic wriststrap.

An antistatic wriststrap must be worn when handling any board or module to
prevent damage to the board or module.

5. Remove the Video Memory Module from the antistatic protective bag.
6. Align the Video Memory Module with slot 8 and slide it into the deskside chassis.
7. Push firmly on the Video Memory Module until it is seated in the connector and the
locking levers are locked.
8. Reinstall the module hold-down bracket (see Section 5.5).
9. Reinstall the left side panel (see Section 5.4).
