5.17 Lithium Disc Cell Battery

The lithium disc cell battery is located underneath the audio assembly bracket. The
battery attaches to the system board inside a clip.

1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Section 5.4).

2. Remove all battery packs (Section 5.7).

3. Remove the keyboard assembly (Section 5.11).

4. Remove the audio/USB board (Section 5.14).

5. Remove the modem board (Section 5.15).

6. Remove the audio assembly bracket (Section 5.16).

7. Use the connector removal tool to push the left edge of the battery to the right and lift

it out of the clip (Figure 5-42).
