Removal and Replacement Procedures
Inserting a Hard Drive into the Hard
Drive Bay
1. Save all work, exit all applications, and shut down the computer.
2. Release the hard drive tray from the hard drive bay by sliding the hard drive release
latch to the left.
3. Grasp the hard drive tray using the recess beneath the hard drive bay.
4. Pull the hard drive tray out of the hard drive bay.
5. Insert the metal hard drive into the plastic hard drive tray with the
connectors protruding through the opening in the rear of the tray (Figure 5-18).
