5. INSTALLATION
The RAK30 HW & R is supplied ready for use. Remove all packing, including desiccator
sachets. Initial cleaning of the food zone as advised if, on receipt, the unit has already
been removed from the original Manufacturer’s packaging (see section 9 Maintenance).
The RAK30 HW & R should be installed into the vehicle in accordance with the relevant
vehicle installation data. The three studs (5/16” x 10 UNC thread) provide on the HW &
R are for location only and not for sole mounting purpose. The recommended method
for mounting of the HW & R is in a fixed cradle with over top strapping using webbed
belting. For further advice on mounting, please contact the manufacturer as detailed in
section 11 Customer support.
The electrical supply for the HW & R to the vehicle is 28 Volts DC (nominal) and should
be made using a cable harness.
The RAK30 HW & R must be connected via a fused power cable.
