1 GENERAL
MANUAL
The manual allows a correct unit installation, use and
maintenance.
Pay particular attention to :

WARNING, identifies particularly important
operations or information

PROHIBITIONS, identifies operations that must not
be carried out, that compromises the operating of
the unit or may cause damages to persons or
things .
Read carefully to save time in various operations.
Follow the indications so you will not cause damages
to things and injuries to people
Preliminaries
Only qualified personnel can operate on the unit, as
required by the regulation in force
.
Risk situations
The unit has been designed and created to prevent
injures to people.
During designing it is not possible to plane and operate
on all the risk situations.

Read carefully the "Residual risk" section where are
reported all the situations which may cause
damages to things and injuries to people .

Installation, starting-up, maintenance and repair
required specific knowledge; if they are carried out
by inexperienced personnel, they may cause
damages to things and injuries to people.
Intended use
Use the unit for :

cooling/heating water or a water and glycol mix

within limits defined in the technical bulletin and
on this manual.
Any other use does not involve the manufacturer in any
commitment or obligation
Installation

Outdoor installation

The positioning, the hydraulic, refrigerating and
electrical system and the air ducting must be
determined by the system designer according to the
local regulations.

Follow local safety regulations

Verify that the electrical line characteristics are in
compliance with data indicated on the unit serial
number label.
Maintenance
Schedule periodic inspections and maintenances in
order to avoid or reduce repairing costs.
Turn the unit off before any operation.
Modification

All unit modifications will invalidate the warranty and
the manufacturer responsibility.
Breakdown/Malfunction

Disable the unit immediately in case of breakdown or
malfunction.
Contact an assistance service centre authorized by the
manufacturer.
Use only original spares parts .
Using the unit in case of breakdown or malfunction :

voids the warranty

may compromise the safety of the unit

may increase time and repair costs.
User training
The installer has to train the user on :

start-up / shutdown;

set points change;

standby mode;

maintenance;

what to do / what not to do in case of breakdown.
Data updating
Continuous product improvements may imply manual
data changes
Visit manufacturer web site www.clivet.it for the data
updating

Indication ìs fo

Keep this manual with the wiring diagram in an
accessible place for the operator
Note the unit label data so you can provide them to the
assistance centre in case of intervention request (see
"Unit identification" section).
Provide a unit notebook that allows to note and track any
interventions carried out on the unit making it easier to
suitably note the various interventions and aids the
search for any breakdowns.
In case of breakdown or malfunction:

immediately deactivate the unit

contact an assistance service centre authorized by
the manufacturer.

Ask to the installer to be trained:

start-up / shutdown

set points change

standby mode

maintenance

what to do / what not to do in case of breakdown
1.12 Unit identification
The serial number label is positioned on the unit,
generally next to the electrical panel, and allows you to
indentify all the unit features.
