Multiplexing
Defines the way in which different
protocols are handled within a DSL
virtual circuit. You can choose
between a Logical Link Control (LLC)
encapsulation and Virtual Channel (VC)
multiplexing.
QoS Type
Select the DSL Quality of Service
(QoS): Unspecified Bit Rate (UBR),
Constant Bit Rate (CBR), Variable Bit
Rate - real time (VBR-rt), Variable Bit
Rate - non-real time (VBR-nrt). CBR
provides the best guarantee of low
latency; UBR provides none, but is
typically used for most broadband
data services.
Pcr Rate
- When the QoS is set to CBR,
VBR-rt, or VBR-nrt, enter the Peak Cell
Rate (PCR) in cells per second.
Scr Rate
- When the QoS is set to
VBR-nrt or VBR-rt, enter the Sustained
Cell Rate (SCR) in cells per second.
Auto Detect
Check
Enable
to enable or
Disable
to
disable automatic detection of the VPI
and VCI values that identify your line to
the ATM network.
Virtual Circuit
The
Virtual Path Identifier (VPI)
and
Virtual Channel Identifier (VCI)
are
values used to identify your line to your
ISP’s ATM network.
SRA (Seamless Rate Adaption)
Check
Enable
or
Disable
to enable or
disable the SRA, a protocol which, by
decoupling the modulation and
framing layer, can change the
transmission data rate parameters
(applied by the modulation layer).
