ip name-server
To set the Domain Name Server (DNS) servers for use during a DNS query, use the
ip name-server
command in Configuration mode. You can configure one to three DNS servers. To disable this function,
use the
no
form of this command.
Note
Using the
no
form of this command removes all the name servers from the configuration. Using the
no
form of this command and one of the IP names removes only that IP name.

Default domain name used to complete the hostnames. Contains at least 2 to
64 alphanumeric characters.

Sets the DNS servers for use during a DNS query.
ip-address
Address of a name server.
ip-address*
(Optional) IP addresses of additional name servers.
Note
You can configure a maximum of three name servers.
