Do not disconnect connections to this equipment unless power has been removed or you have verified
that the area is nonhazardous. Secure any external connections that mate to this equipment by using screws,
sliding latches, threaded connectors, or other means provided with this product.

Warning
Voltages that present a shock hazard may exist on Power over Ethernet (PoE) circuits if interconnections
are made using uninsulated exposed metal contacts, conductors, or terminals. Avoid using such
interconnection methods, unless the exposed metal parts are located within a restricted access location
and users and service people who are authorized within the restricted access location are made aware of
the hazard. A restricted access area can be accessed only through the use of a special tool, lock and key
or other means of security.

You will receive a Cisco Catalyst Digital Building UPOE (CDB-8U) or a PoE+ (CDB-8P) Switch. Each
switch is shipped in a separate box.
To install the switch, you will require one of the mounting accessories listed below. You can order them when
you order your switch, or you can order them later from your Cisco representative.
• Flexible mount with IEC C14 power junction box (CDB-MNT-FLEX-C14)
• Flexible mount with direct-wired junction box (CDB-MNT-FLEX-DIR) — Plenum-rated
• 5RU 19" rack mount chassis for up to 5 switches (CDB-MNT-RACK5-C14)
