Chapter 21 Configuring ATM Connections

ATM Connection Flow

Configuration

To configure traffic shaping, use the following procedure:

Note

Traffic shaping is disabled by default.

Step 1

Use the

cnfport

and

cnfln

commands to enable and disable the function on a per port basis.

Step 2

Use the

cnftrk

command to enable traffic shaping on trunks.

No connections should be enabled on the port prior to changing the port traffic shaping parameter. If
there are existing connections when the port is toggled, the connections are not updated unless the card
is reset, connections are rerouted, a switchcc occurs, or you modify the connection parameters.

The following is an example of the

cnfln

command:
