2. Pair both Rotors on a flat surface and center them axial to each other (align the rotors
axial so that the shoulders of the thrust-bearings are axially aligned to each other)
3. Insert rotor-package (both rotors together) into the casing (350) 8-
shaped „screw-bores
“(from gear or motor side)
4. Check and correct the axial alignment of both rotors
5. Ensure that the Rotors are installed in the center of the casing (350). This is important to
assure that the mechanical seals are installed symmetrically.
6. Install the dowel pins (376), stud bolts (310) to the case (350) and install the o- ring (439)
to intermediate plates.
7. Install four mechanical component seal on shafts both sides and lock using scrub screws
with specified length from screw profile as per sectional drawing (Skip this step for
Cartridge seal arrangement). Install the intermediate plate (419) to the case by guiding
the dowel pins (376) on both sides.
8. Secure the intermediate plate (419), with socket head screws (315) on both sides.
9. Assembly o- ring (703) and grooved pin (480) on Seal cover (470). Install four seal cover
assembly on intermediate cover with screws (471) along with Loctite. (Not applicable for
Cartridge seal arrangement)
10. In case of Cartridge Seal, Install the cartridge seal (702) to the intermediate cover with
screws (471). Ensure the correct location of each seal (direction of rotation, up and down
markings). (Not applicable for component seal arrangement)
11. Install lip seal (704) to the cover D and DF (407) (401) before installing it into the case.
12. Install bush (726) with Loctite 638 on the shafts (101) and (102) on both sides.
13. Install the cover D (407) on the motor side and cover DF (401) on the non-drive end
against the intermediate plate (419) using hex nuts (338)
14. Tighten the cover D (407) and DF (401) against the intermediate plate (419) by using the
hex nuts (311) on both sides.
15. Check the axial gap between the shoulder in the bearing-cover DF (401) and outer ring of
the bearing (105)
– around 2mm is required
16. Install bearings (105) to the shafts (101) and (102) into bearing cover DF (401) and
ensure Bearing (105) inner ring is snug against the bush (726)
17. Check the axial gap between the shoulder in the bearing-cover D (407) and the bush
(726). The max. dev- 0,1 mm is permitted
18. Install bearings (105) to the shafts (101) and (102) into bearing cover D (407)
19. Check the axial distance between the Bearing cover D (407) face and the bearing (105)
inner race and ensure the Bearing inner ring face is snug against the bush (726)
20. Secure the bearings (105) with locknuts (111) with specified tightening torque valve for
locking set screws, on the motor side and one locknut on gear side main shaft. Install
distance bush (124) to gear side idler shaft.
