6. OPERATION/SETTING
6.8 Alarm Setting
(1) Alarm Setting
1. A value you desire for an alarm to be activated can be set for the
indication value (setting resolution: 0.25 %).
2. The alarm value for an upper limit alarm/lower limit alarm which is
common to all channels for dot-printing type and individual set
by each pen for pen type can be set.
3. Alarm setting and clear (alarm determination release) for upper
limit alarm/lower limit alarm are performed collectively for all
channels for dot-printing type and individual set by each pen for
pen type (Refer to “Alarm Setting Value”, the right.).
4. In any channel become alarm value (lower limit value or
less/upper limit value or more) the alarm is activated, and the
alarm lamp lights. In addition, when the alarm output (optional) is
available, the contact signal of upper limit alarm/lower limit alarm
can be output on alarm activation.
5. The alarm lamp continues to light until all alarms activated are
reset.
(2) Setting Procedure for Alarm Values
Refer to the flow chart mentioned later.
1) Transition to Alarm Value Setting Mode
[Dot-printing type]
Alarm setting can be performed only from the one-point
indication mode.
In the recording mode (RECORD ON) when the dotter is
switched to the channel for alarm setting, place the switch to the
one-point indication mode. Note that if the AUTO CH switch is
placed in the down position right before dotting, dotting is
performed and then the channel is switched.
When a single scale is used, you do not need to check the
channel indicated by the dotter.
[Pen type]
Alarm setting can be performed from any operation mode.
Specifying input channel can be performed from alarm setting
mode.
2) Setting Procedure for Alarm Values
Check that all DIP switches are off.
(Refer to 6.2 Operation/Setting Change (3) DIP Switch
Function.)
*1 Alarm judgment is not performed during alarm value
setting mode. When switch to alarm value setting
mode at alarm activation, alarm lamp is turned off.
Note: The indication lamps show the state right before key
operation. The dark color shows lighting and faint color
shows blink state.
For dot-printing type, there is no lamp indication part for pen
selection.

responses of key operations (switching of display) and
completion of indication mechanism operation when performing
key operation unfailingly since wrong operations or setting may
occur.
Check Completion of Mechanism Operation
•
Setting value
[Dot-printing type]
For a single scale, set values are reflected to all channels. For
the double/triple scale (optional), the setting value is reflected
to the channel with the same scale as the channel of the
dotter on transition to the alarm setting mode.
[Pen type]
The setting value is reflected at the every pen input.
•
Setting value clear
[Dot-printing type]
For a single scale, alarm values of all channels are cleared.
When the double/triple scale (optional) is used, the alarm
value of the channel with the same scale as the channel of
the dotter on transition to the alarm setting mode is cleared.
[Pen type]
The alarm value is cleared at the every pen input.
