Installing and Replacing Components Other than Network Interface Cards (NICs) and Accelerated Data Path

Check Point IP690 Security Platform Installation Guide

4.

Slowly slide the chassis tray assembly forward, taking care to prevent damaging
components, press the release tab on the right side of the assembly, and completely remove
the chassis tray assembly to expose the motherboard components.

5.

Place the chassis tray assembly on a table top.

6.

Locate the battery on the motherboard.
The battery is in a black battery holder secured with a battery retaining tab.

7.

Remove the old battery. Use a small nonconductive device, such as a plastic probe, to slide
the battery out of the battery holder through the cutout in the holder.

8.

With the positive side facing up, slide the new battery through the cutout in the battery
holder.
