Operation

MSA G1 Classic Breathing Apparatus

Step

Description

Photos

1.1

Remove the facemask cover.

1.2

Inspect the facemask.

1.3

Ensure all head harness straps are not tangled
and are at full extension.

1.4

Slide the waist support belt up and down and
leave it in the required position for maximum
comfort.

High pressure test.

2.1

Connect a cylinder (if required) as per the Change Cylinder process.

2.2

Ensure the set is in PARK by pressing the PARK
button (the red button on underside of demand
valve).

2.3

Turn the BA cylinder on.

Listen for the mechanical whistle as the set is turned on.
