MSA G1 Classic Breathing Apparatus

Changing the Cylinder

Follow these steps to change the cylinder.

Step

Description

Photos

Release air pressure from set.

1.1

Ensure a clean environment.

1.2

Check the cylinder valve is closed.

1.3

Depress the PURGE button to release any
pressure still in set.

1.4

Place BA in PARK by depressing only the red
button on bottom side of the demand valve.

Remove the used cylinder.

2.1

Release the tension of the cylinder retaining
strap by unfastening the Velcro and lift the
buckle
