Bend forward slightly; resting the carrier frame 
on the back.

Pull down on the shoulder strap pull tabs to 
tighten straps.

Stand up straight.

Fasten the waist belt. 

Reach around to the hips, locate the tabs and 
pull forward to tighten. 

 

  

Most of the BA weight should be carried on the hips. 

 

To adjust the lumber support height while 
wearing the set: 

 

loosen or release the waist buckle; 

 

reach behind to find the lumber support; 

 

pull the lever towards the operator and push 
up or down depending on the adjustment 
needed; 

 

release the tab and pull up or down to ensure 
the lumber support is locked in 

 

reconnect the waist belt
