Operation

MSA G1 Classic Breathing Apparatus

Step

Description

Photos

Tighten the cylinder retaining strap by pulling up
on the tail of the strap (if required).

Leave a finger width in between the cylinder and the strap.

4.6

Close the buckle by pressing it down until an
audible click is heard.

4.7

Ensure the Velcro strap is threaded through the
ring and looped back over the buckle to re-
attach the Velcro.

Conduct the high-pressure test.

5.1

Ensure the set is in PARK by pressing the
PARK button (the red button on the underside of
the demand valve).

5.2

Turn the BA cylinder on.

Listen for the mechanical whistle as the set is turned on.
