If the high pressure line is ruptured, a flow restriction is incorporated into the high
pressure line that will restrict the flow to 20 lpm.
Distress Signal Unit
The MSA Motion Scout is the distress signal unit (DSU) fitted to MSA G1 C BA. It is
designed to detect when the operator stops moving, resulting in the activation of a two-
stage automatic audible and visual alarm. The audible alarm sounds at an average of
95 dB at three metres. The DSU also contains a thermal alarm. Two bright red flashing
LEDs for motion and manually activated alarm are visible from the front, top and sides.
