6 - MAINTENANCE
Engine oil recommended operating temperature range
CASE CONSTRUCTION prescribes the use of engine oils that meet CNH Industrial standard MAT3622 in your en-
gine.
You may use other engine oils only if they meet API CI-4 or ACEA E7 performance requirements.
CASE CONSTRUCTION engine oils exceed API and ACEA performance requirements.
NOTE: Do not put performance additives or other oil additive products in the engine crankcase. See your CASE
CONSTRUCTION dealer for engine oil analysis test package information.

Engine oil and filter service intervals
Always change engine oil and filter at the service intervals prescribed in the maintenance chart, or annually (whichever
comes first).
CASE CONSTRUCTION defines the oil/filter change intervals given in this manual from tests with CASE CONSTRUC-
TION lubricants/filters.
The service intervals for engine oil and filter are based on type of engine oil and oil filter used, and also on sulfur
content of diesel fuel. Never use filters other than CASE CONSTRUCTION genuine filters. See the previous page
for the approved sulfur content and for other prescriptions for diesel fuel to be used.
NOTICE: If diesel fuel with sulfur content higher than 350 ppm and up to 1000 ppm should be exceptionally used,
the service intervals of engine oil, oil filter and fuel filters must be reduced by 50% .
