Every 2000 hours

Hydraulic suction filter

NOTICE:

when using the hydraulic breaker, reduce the interval of the suction filter cleaning. Refer to page

Burn hazard!
Before performing any service on the hy-
draulic system, you must allow it to cool.
Hydraulic fluid temperature should not
exceed 40 °C (104 °F).
Failure to comply could result in death or
serious injury.

Pressurized system!
Never attempt to drain fluids or remove fil-
ters when the engine is running. Turn off
the engine and relieve all pressure from
pressurized systems before servicing the
machine.

To clean the suction filter proceed as follows:

1.

Release all pressure in the hydraulic reservoir.
Refer to page

6-11

.

2.

Clean the top of the hydraulic reservoir and
clean the suction filter cover.

3.

Remove the suction filter rod assembly cover

and O-ring

(2)

.

4.

Remove the suction filter

(3)

and clean with

solvent. Dry the filter completely and check that
there is no damage. If there is any damage to
the surface, replace it with a new filter.

5.

Install the new O-ring

, then install the suc-

tion filter

and rod assembly.

6.

Install the cover

7.

Check the hydraulic oil level and top up as nec-
essary. Refer to page

6-17

.

if metal particles are found in the old filter, consult
