G Mobile network detected and connected using 2G protocol. In this condition the data connection cannot be
guaranteed as it depends on the quality of the mobile telephone network to which it is connected.
3G
Mobile network detected and connected using 3G protocol.
? Mobile network identification underway.
NTW
Start or close a network connection using the mobile network.
OFF The 2G/3G/WF modem is either missing or switched off.
BSY
Start up and initialization of the modem is underway.
WF WiFi network connected
SRV The receiver is beginning, or has already initiated, connection to the gateway.
The letters will flash when CardinTX_SW software is connected.
tst Indicates that a modem test is being carried out. The test is carried out every 60 seconds.
REQ
A call has been accepted and a connection is being made.
RMT The receiver has set up a connection with the appliance that contacted it.
USB Indicates that a USB connection has been activated. Activation and deactivation is automatic each time you
physically connect or disconnect the receiver from the PC.
SIM
This message can indicate one of the following situations:
- If it appears straight away on start up it indicates that the
PIN code in the SIM is corrupt;
- The SIM is not present in the modem or hasn't been detected by the modem. Remove and reposition the
SIM in its slot.
- If it appears after an attempt to initialise the modem it indicates that the PIN code in the SIM is incorrect.
Access the menu function an reinsert the PIN code, then switch off and restart the receiver. If the problem
persists contact the after sales service.
ERR The SIM requires a PUK code. The receiver will not allow this operation which must be carried by a normal
cell phone.
• Directly activating a channel via SMS (only 2G/3G with a standard SIM card)
You can activate one or more channels via SMS , and , if required, you may receive an answer giving the
status of the channels.

When the receiver is awaiting a command an acronym, relating to the status of the modem and eventual
connections in course, will appear in brackets, in the upper right hand corner of the display.
