• NEW : starts up the memorization procedure for a new number in the address book that will be automatically
added by direct dialling the receiver from the appliance you wish to enable.
Memorization is only possible if memory locations in the address book are still available. Press
ENT
to
activate the procedure which can be interrupted at any moment by pressing the
ESC
key.
The operations required to memorise a new number are:
1. Start up the process by pressing
ENT
, ‘CALL’ will appear on the display.
2. Dial the receiver using the appliance you wish to memorise; as soon as the number is identified the call
will be terminated. If the number is already stored in memory an error message will appear for a few seconds,
after which the procedure will be restarted from the beginning.
3. The entire number is shown on the display. Press
ENT
to accept the number and then select the functions
to be associated with the number or press
ESC
to terminate the procedure.
4. Using the buttons scroll through the functions that can be associated with the number. The letters
“ A/B/C/D ” identify the receiver channel, while the letter “ R ” (Remote) means the number can only be used
for remote access. Press
ENT
to accept the setting or press
ESC
to terminate the procedure.
5. To complete the procedure and save the number in the address book one more confirmation must be
given by pressing the button. Press
ESC
to cancel the procedure.
6. The number will be saved in the address book in the next available memory location and will be confirmed
by ' MEMORISED' appearing on the display. After two seconds has elapsed ' NEW' will once again appear
on the display
• REMOVE : allows you to display and if needed cancel telephone numbers from the SIM address book.
Press
ENT
to activate the procedure which can be interrupted at any moment by pressing the
ESC
key.
The operations required to cancel a number are:
1. Start the procedure by pressing
ENT
.
2. The first memorised number is looked up in the address book, starting in order from the first memory
location and then shown on the display. This operation can take a certain amount of time depending on the
size and occupation of the database. If you press
ESC
the search function will be interrupted and you will
be returned to the ‘ REMOVE ’ menu. If the address book is empty the acronym ‘ EMPTY ’ will be shown on
the display and you will be returned to the ‘ REMOVE ’ menu automatically.
3. The identification number is shown on the display while waiting for the user to make a choice. Using the
buttons you carry on the search from point 2, pressing
ENT
will select the number to be cancelled.
Press
ESC
to cancel the procedure and return to the menu “ REMOVE ”
4. To complete the procedure and cancel the number one more confirmation must be given by pressing the
button. Cancellation will be confirmed by the message “ DELETED! ” appearing on the display for two
seconds after which will be taken by to point 2.
MENU: PIN SIM (only 2G/3G cards)
This menu allows you to memorise the PIN of the telephone SIM into the user code memory so that the receiver
can use it whenever it is requested by the SIM . If the PIN is absent the modem cannot be started up.
To modify the value go to the PIN SIM menu and select
ENT
. The current PIN is not visible and you will given
the value ‘0000’ as a starting point. Using the (increasing/decreasing in steps of 1 unit) modify the
number until the desired value appears on the display. Keeping the button pressed down will force it to scroll
quickly in units of
+/-20 . Pressing the
ENT
button will confirm the value which will be saved in memory (the
modem will restart so it can be used). Pressing
ESC
will quit the procedure and take you back to the PIN SIM ,
menu without modifying the memory content. If a PUK code is requested, indicated by the acronym “[ ERR ]”
appearing on the display you will need to transfer the SIM into a standard telephone in order to carry out the
necessary operations. You are advised to always insert the
SIM
’s
PIN
code into the receiver.
