- Direct print function for Card Photo Printers CP-10/100 and Bubble Jet printers BJ
895PD, BJ 535PD and BJ F890PD
The direct printer function has been added to the PowerShot G3 so that high-picture-quality prints can be made
easily by merely connecting the camera with the supplied cable to Canon’s CP-10 card photo printer, the L-size
and postcard-size compatible CP-100 or a Bubble Jet printer (BJ 895PD/BJ 535PD/BJ F890PD).
All printing operations are controlled from the camera. When connected to the CP-100 or CP-10, selection of
border or borderless prints and “cropping”, which allows the user to expand and print an area of the image, are
also available. After selecting the cropping mode, the section denoted by the frame superimposed over the
image displayed on the LCD monitor can be printed. The size of the frame can be adjusted in either 8 steps
(when placed horizontally) or 5 steps (when placed vertically) with the zoom lever and the position can be
moved with the cross-configured buttons.
Card prints include options for full-size label prints or 8 copies of
the same image on one sticker sheet. When connected to a Bubble
Jet printer, five paper sizes — L, 2L, postcard, A4 and credit card
— can be selected, and border, borderless, number of copies,
indexing and cropping options can be specified for each.
Furthermore, when the PowerShot G3 is combined with the
BJ 895PD or BJ 535PD, which support Exif 2.2, optimal print
quality can be obtained automatically.
- Self-timer photography (selectable from 2 or 10 seconds)
The PowerShot G3 adds a 2-second setting to the previous 10-second setting for the self-timer function. The 2-
second setting is useful as an alternative to an external release when using a tripod mount or to avoid camera
shake.
