e. From the Bluetooth Menu, use the Down
button to scroll to the Pair Fish Hawk option. Press
the Right
button to continue.
f. The Color LCD will bring up a "Pair Fish Hawk"
screen. Use the Right
button to confirm that
you want to pair with the Fish Hawk.
g. While the downrigger is actively searching for
the Fish Hawk, a "Pairing Fish Hawk..." message
will show on the Color LCD. Once the pairing is
successful, a confirmation screen will appear and
the Fish Hawk is successfully paired.
NOTICE: Once the downrigger is paired to the Fish Hawk, both need to be powered on in order for them to communicate. If
you wish to remove the Fish Hawk to rebuild the network, or assign a new Master downrigger, you must clear the network on
the downrigger and re-pair the Fish Hawk with the new Master downrigger.

Once an Optimum is paired to a device, it will remember the downrigger, even if the device and the downrigger are not actively
communicating. In some cases, it may be necessary to clear the memory of the device and forget any paired downrigger. To do this, use
the Bluetooth settings on the device.
Android
a. Open the Bluetooth settings on the device.
b. A list of paired devices will appear. The
appearance of the list from an Android to an iOS
device will look different.
c. On an Android device, select the Settings icon
next to the device in the list of Paired Devices.
When the next screen appears, find the option to
Unpair the device and select it.
d. On an iOS device, select the “i” icon next to
the device in the list of My Devices. When the
next Screen appears, find the option to Forget this
Device and select it.
e. Once the device is unpaired or forgotten, the
device is no longer paired or communicating with
the device and will not be visible to the Cannon
app or the device.
