information about the desired sensor settings and orienting, mounting, and leveling the
CSAT3BH, which is covered in the following sections.
6.3 Settings
Prior to installation, the CSAT3BH settings should be verified in a lab setting to make sure all parts
are accounted for and the system is functioning properly.
6.3.1 Verify CSAT3BH settings
Verify the CSAT3BH settings in a laboratory through the following steps:
1. Provide power to the CSAT3BH by connecting the M16 connector of either a CSAT3BCBL1
or CSAT3BCBL2 to the Power/SDM port on the back of the CSAT3BH block. The other end
of this cable will have red and black wires that should be connected to a 9.5 to 32 VDC
power source. (In the case of the CSAT3BCBL1, the other wires need not be connected.)
2. Connect the circular connector on the USB data cable included with the CSAT3BH to the
port labelled USB on the back of the CSAT3B block. Connect the other end of the cable to a
USB port on a computer.
3. Launch
Device Configuration Utility
from
LoggerNet
or download from
.
4. From the left side of the main screen, select the CSAT3B (note that there is no CSAT3BH
selection, since the CSAT3BH functions like a CSAT3B when communicating with
Device
Configuration Utility
) among the list of sensors. Select the appropriate communication port
and baud rate (refer to the left side of
(p. 25)).
5. If this is the first time the computer has connected to a CSAT3BH, and depending on the
computer settings, the USB driver may need to be manually installed. To do this, make sure
the computer is connected to the internet and click install the USB driver link as shown in
6. Once the driver has been installed, if needed, click Connect at the bottom left of the
window.
