1.4 SYMBOLS USED
The manual uses symbols to catch the reader’s attention when necessary to stress some relevant aspects of
its content.
The following chart explains the meaning of the symbols used.
SYMBOL MEANING NOTES
Danger Indicates the danger of accident and possibly fatal risk for the
operator and the surrounding personnel.
Pay maximum attention to the paragraphs showing this
symbol.

Attention Warning about the possibility of wear and tear or damage to
the machine or its accessories or to the personal belongings
of the Customer/end-user.

Warning
Note
Indicates a warning or a note about key-functions or useful
information.
Pay maximum attention to the paragraphs showing this
symbol.
Instructions Stresses that it is a compulsory instruction for the end-
user and/or maintenance operator to read the Use and
Maintenance Manual supplied with the machine.
Visual control Indicates that the reader has to make a visual observation.
This symbol can be found in the use instructions.
The end-user is asked to read a measure value, to check a
warning, etc..

by the end-user or the personnel is strictly forbidden.
It is absolutely forbidden to operate the machine without the
protections supplied.

Prohibition to smoke or use

as well as all the inner regulations of the factory or plant,
as established by the employer, are also to be considered.
Prohibition to enter for the
non-authorised people Indicates the prohibition for the non-authorised personnel to
go close to and/or to cross the area where this warning is
present.
The end-user or the personnel shall pay the maximum
attention to the warnings and areas with this symbol and
keep at a safe distance.
Noise risk Indicates zones, areas and/or machines with a noise level
which is higher than 85 dB (A).
The end-user or the personnel shall not enter these areas or
use these machines without ear protections.
