•

  Use a humid cloth for cleaning the instrument surface. Do not 

employ aggressive detergents. 

•

  Protect yourself and the instrument from electrostatic shock, 

which can cause damage to the electronic parts. 

•

  Only authorized personnel may open the instrument. Service 

and repair is only to be performed by trained specialists. Use 
spare parts and consumables mentioned in the manual only. 
The warranty is voided if other parts are used. 

•

  The instrument must be unplugged before opening. It is not 

permitted to work on an instrument that has been opened 
and is connected to the power supply. 

•

  Replacement fuses must meet the specifications of the in-

strument manufacturer. Shorting or manipulating fuses is for-
bidden. 

•

  If safety is impaired, the instrument must be switched off and 

secured in a way that prevents it from being switched on ac-
cidentally. 

•

  Shipping the instrument is permitted only in the original con-

tainer. Improper handling or packing can cause damage to 
the instrument. 

•

  Carry out all safety checks and the preventive maintenance 

as recommended by the manufacturer in order to assure 
your personal safety and the full functionality of the instru-
ment. Have an authorized service specialist to perform any 
service not described by this manual. 

 

This symbol indicates that this equipment must not be dis-
posed as unsorted municipal waste but is to be collected 
separately as electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE-
Directive 2002/96/EC). To correctly recycle the instrument or 
parts of it you are requested to send the equipment back to 
the distributor, producer or an adequate collection system at 
the end of its life. This will have potential effects on the envi-
ronment and human health.
