Target Cut Plane vs. Captured Cut Plane Comparison
NOTE:
Captured cut plane position refers to the position of the probe when the “Stop Metrics” button is
pressed.

Target Cut Plane Probe Position
The absolute X, Y, Z coordinates of the target cut plane ultrasound
probe position relative to the coordinate system origin.
Captured Cut Plane Probe
Position
The absolute X, Y, Z coordinates of the captured cut plane probe
position relative to the coordinate system origin.
Position Difference
The X,Y,Z positional differences between the ultrasound probe in
the target cut plane position and captured cut plane position.
Total Positional Difference
The total distance between the ultrasound probe target cut plane
and captured cut plane positions is calculated as sqrt((X2-
X1)

Target Cut Plane Probe
Orientation
The absolute roll, pitch, yaw orientations of the target cut plane
ultrasound probe position relative to the coordinate system
origin.
Captured Cut Plane Probe
Orientation
The absolute roll, pitch, yaw orientations of the captured cut
plane ultrasound probe position relative to the coordinate system
origin.
Orientation Difference
The roll, pitch, yaw orientation differences between the ultra-
sound probe in the target cut plane position and captured cut
plane position.
Total Orientation Difference
The rotation required to align the captured cut plane with the tar-
get cut plane. It is calculated as the quaternion angle combining
the contributions of roll, pitch, and yaw into the single and most
direct rotation which takes place around a newly created vector
in space.

Beam depth of field of the target cut plane
Captured Cut Plane Depth of
Field
Beam depth of field of the captured cut plane
Depth of Field Difference
Difference in beam depth of field between the target and cap-
tured cut planes
