8.1
General Instructions for Maintenance
•
Cleaning and maintenance should only be performed by a licensed
professional.
•
Close all gas and heating and drinking water valves before beginning!
•
Make sure the unit is disconnected from electricity before beginning!
8.2
Cleaning the Condensed Water Siphon
The condensed water siphon should be cleaned in the following intervals:
Yearly: the siphon connection on the bot-
tom of the boiler. Make sure to have a
collection container ready to collect the
runoff condensed water. Clear obstruc-
tions and dirt from the siphon, replace
the cover and test the water tightness of
the connection.
Every two years: completely remove and
clean the siphon. Remove the upper
connection to the siphon and pull down
on the siphon. Remove the siphon, with
hose, from the boiler, disconnect it and
rinse thoroughly with clear water. Install
the siphon by reversing this process.
8.3
Cleaning the Combustion Chamber
Clean the combustion chamber yearly.
