Recovery for Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions
and Windows Server 2003

If the system fails to start, recover the system with the recovery console. This method
should be used only by a system administrator or a user with expert knowledge.

See the Online Help for details.

Maintenance Tools

Starting the Maintenance Tools

The Maintenance Tools starts according to the following procedure.

1.

Turn on first the peripheral devices and then the server.

2.

Insert the ExpressBuilder DVD supplied with your server into the optical disc

drive of your server.

3.

Press

Ctrl

,

Alt

, and

Delete

to reboot the server from the ExpressBuilder. (You

may also turn off and then on again to reboot the server.)

System boots up displaying the Boot Selection menu.

Caution

The initial selection of the menu is "OS installation".
"OS installation" starts automatically after the Boot Selection
menu has been displayed.
