Lift the drive carrier from the chassis. See letter “B” in the figure.

Figure 115: Removing the Drive Carrier

Position the drive with the drive connectors facing up, as shown by the figure

below.

Set the drive carrier over the drive, as shown by the letter “A” in the figure. The

data and power connectors must be positioned so they are accessible through
the cut-out, shown by letter “B”.

Use the four screws provided to attach the drive to the carrier. See letter “C” in

the figure.

Caution

Use the screws provided with the hard disk drive. Using screws
longer than the required length may cause the hard disk drive to
be damaged.
