LED Indications
LED Indication
Explanation
Flashing green
The activation button has been pressed, but the camera is not detected.
Only the visible laser is on. The infrared laser is off.
Solid green
Appears when the camera is detected. Both lasers are activated. The in-
frared laser is delayed and is switched on one second after the visible la-
ser.
Prerequisites:
• Navigation software is in registration mode
• The camera has an unobstructed view of the infrared sensor located
next to the indicator LED
Flashing yellow
Z-touch
battery is low and the camera is not detected. The battery typi-
cally lasts for one patient registration procedure. Change the battery be-
fore using
Z-touch
for the next patient registration.
Only the visible laser is on. The infrared laser is off.
Changing between
yellow and green
Z-touch
battery is low and both lasers are activated. The battery typically
lasts for one patient registration procedure. Change the battery before us-
ing
Z-touch
for the next patient registration.
Solid yellow
If an internal error is detected, both visible and infrared lasers are switch-
ed off and the indicator LED is solid yellow when the activation button is
pressed.
NOTE: If an error is detected, contact Brainlab immediately for advice on
how to proceed.
Off
•
Z-touch
not activated (i.e., button not pressed).
•
Z-touch
battery is empty and must be exchanged. Both lasers are
switched off.
When the control LED is either solid green or changing between green and yellow, this indicates
that the invisible infrared laser is active. Ensure that no one is subjected to direct eye exposure.
Visible Laser Indications
Aside from the control LED, the visible laser also indicates the status of camera detection. This
enables you to focus on the surface you are scanning while receiving this information.
