•
Check the ‘Read Time’ displayed at the bottom of
the Diagnostics screen and make sure that it
matches with the PC time.
Communication:
•
If communication between the user’s PC and the
controller is intact, the Diagnostics Window will be
displayed.
•
If communication has been lost, the Di agnostics
Window will not be displayed. In this case, refer to
Section 5, Troubleshooting, Table 1a.
•
Click on Status. It will show the systems
connected to the controller with ‘OK’ message. If
there are two StepMetrix system s and only one
system is showing up, refer to Section 5,
Troubleshooting, Table 1a for communication
troubleshooting.
Direct Tag Read:
•
Pass ID tags through the ID antenna and check if
they are displayed o n the screen. If passed ID
tags are no t displayed, refer to Section 5,
Troubleshooting, Table 1e.
Load cell information:
•
If ‘Status’, ‘Diff Status’ or ‘Cal Status’ message is
displayed as ‘Warning’ or ‘Failure’, refer to
Section 5, Troubleshooting, Table 1c.
•
If ‘Status’, ‘Diff Status’ and ‘Cal Status’ messages
are displayed as ‘OK, all the lo ad cells are
working properly. Step on load cell number 1
(refer to Figures 13 and 21 for load cell locations).
If the load cell is working properly, the ‘Value’ field
will go down substantially compared to the rest of
the load cells. Follow the same procedure for load
cells 2 th rough 8 and make sure that the
respective load cell changes its value.
Battery Backup/Fan
•
24 V supply, 10 V supply and 5 V supply fields
should be displayed as ‘ON’ in the stat us field. If
they are displayed as ‘OFF’, see Table 1f Section
5, Troubleshooting.
•
Fan: It will display RPM. The fan speed will
typically be 3500 RPM. If it is belo w 1750 RPM it
should be replaced.
